Pei-Lan Ku received her Bachelors of Art – Dual Degree in Theater, Dance & Performance Studies and Art History from the University of California, Berkeley, CA.  Pei-Lan primarily trained under the direction of Assistant Professor Lisa Wymore and Senior Lecturer Emerita, SOE Carol Murota when she attended UC Berkeley.  Both, Lisa Wymore and Carol Murato, sponsored Ms. Ku to teach/facilitate UC Berkeley’s first Contemporary Chinese Dance class.  Contemporary Chinese Dance: A Synthesis of Traditional Chinese Dance and Contemporary Western Dance.  
Pei-Lan began her dance training at the age of five in Chinese Fold Dance with Bibiana Shieh at Ming Yuan Chinese School and Tu Mei Ying of Mei Ying Dance Group of New York.  She also trained in modern and contemporary Chinese dance in Taiwan with the Henry Yu Dance Company and learned various Chinese folkdance styles when traveling around the island of Taiwan.  When Ms. Ku is not raining, teaching, choreographing dance, she enjoys taking Hip-Hop, Lyrical/Contemporary, and Theatrical Jazz dance classes.
Pei-Lan Ku has performed in many private and public events and venues, such as the East Coast Chinese Folkdance Festival (NY), Wold Fair Festival in Flushing (NY), Lincoln Center Summer Outdoor Festivial (NY), San Gabriel – Mission Center (CA), Anaheim Convention Center (CA), UC Berkeley – Bancroft Studios (CA), Berkeley Arts Museum (CA), and much more.
