Laurie Bellueme began her dance training at the age of six in Southern California. After seeing the famous Russian ballet dancer, Rudolph Nureyev perform, she knew she wanted to perform ballet dancing like he did.

At the age of twelve she joined the Patrice McCoy Ballet Ensemble, a "non-profit" organization dedicated to reviving the "Romantic Age" of the Russian Ballet to the Southern California Region. At age sixteen she taught company classes for Ms. Patrice McCoy and assisted in musical comedies throughout the San Fernando Valley. During the ten years with the McCoy company, she studied the styles and techniques of famous Russian dancers like Alexandra Danilova, Bronislava Nijinska, Theodore Kosloff, Nana Gollner and Nina Youshkevitch. Laurie has also performed professionally with the Pat Carny Dance Troupe, where she was able to incorporate the styles and techniques she had studied.

In 1990 Laurie Bellueme moved to Las Vegas to pursue her teaching career.  She has taught all ages and all levels of Ballet, Tap and Jazz, as well as beginning tumbling for over 16 years in the Las Vegas Valley.

Laurie Bellueme taught dancers at Kids In Motion from 2000-2006, taking time off in 2007.  She is dedicated to creating a nurturing and exciting atmosphere where dancers can grow in appreciation, understanding, and enjoyment of dance as an art form. She strives to make dancing a fun and recreational activity, while instilling the technique needed for those who choose to pursue dance as a profession. Because of her passion for dance, her love for children, and her desire to share her talent with others, we invite her to join our studio again and continue to live and breathe dance.
