Tania
Tania is a native of Las Vegas. Her professional dance training began at age ten when she joined with Stage Struck Dance Ensemble. She continued her training with Stage Struck until High School when she was invited to participate in the award winning Dance Company ENCORE. In her 3 years of training with ENCORE her talent and creativity was showcased when she was hand-picked to choreograph as well as perform in Artemus Ham Hall Dance Festival. Tania also enjoyed the performance opportunities that followed when she became a Songleader for Western High School. She choreographed for various competitions which led her to compete her training with world renowned Joe Tremaine and his faculty in Hollywood California. She was selected to be the ENCORE representative for the Joe Tremaine National Semi-Finals.
Tania's desire to pursue a career in dance choreography grew as she became active in various Dance organizations in town. To further her career she decided to become a Dance Major at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she was fortunate to study under such accomplished professionals as Cathy Allen, Margot-Mink Colbert, Jackie Jaeger, Beth Mehocic and Lewis Kavouras. Tania is technically trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern with a specialty in Hip Hop. While at U.N.L.V. she was invited to join the UNLV Dance Aerobics Team which she was soon asked to choreograph for. At age 18 she branched out to teaching dance and soon became a favorite instructor for the City of Las Vegas, teaching for Becker and Leid Community Schools and Charleston Heights Arts Center.
In 1994 Tania took some time off from dancing to serve the people of Lansing Michigan on a mission for her church. Upon her return she was spotted at Family Fitness, (by Chalice Lundquist, former Owner of Kids In Motion), in a Hip Hop Class and soon after was asked to teach for Kids In Motion Dance Studio. Tania, although a teacher at heart, still loves to perform. In 1997 she was a featured dancer for Signature Productions version of Guys And Dolls. In January of 1998 she became the proud owner of Kids In Motion Dance Studio where she teaches and manages the business.
